(ENGLISH AHEAD) Estoy que no doy abasto. Después de más de un año de blog, he ido acumulando previsiones de entradas entre aquellas canciones que más me llegan, aquellos grupos que descubro o las sugerencias que recibo. A razón de una entrada cada siete o diez días, os podéis imaginar que el espectro que se puede cubrir es bastante pequeño. Así voy viviendo de frustraciones por no poder dar salida a tanta música que me gusta por falta de tiempo (cabe recordar que uno, afortunadamente, tiene un trabajo). Primero decidí abrir un documento de texto para ir apuntando en una lista ordenada toda la música que debería ir saliendo en el blog, pero nunca lo consultaba. Acabé siendo yo mismo y, de ese modo, fui apuntando en un pequeño trozo de papel aquello que iba oyendo y me parecía susceptible de reseñar. El acierto estuvo en no coger un folio DIN-A4, sino un pequeño recorte irregular, limitado en espacio, en el que cabe lo nuevo y lo viejo, el pasado y el futuro, una involuntaria metáfora de la vida misma. Ésta, mi vida, ni es ordenada, ni le sobra espacio, pero yo guardo el papelito como oro en paño. Ahí está todo. No se puede cambiar de papel, como no se puede cambiar de vida. Como mucho, darle la vuelta.

La última canción que se coló en esta no-lista es Daylight. Había escuchado el disco de Blockhead cuando buscaba música para un documental que estábamos preparando. Al final, entraron en la película dos temas del álbum: Breath and Start y Triptych part 2, pero una pequeña y relajante melodía me pasó desapercibida. Se trata de una pieza de trip-hop que Tony Simon (alias Blockhead) compuso originalmente para Aesop Rock y que finalmente entró en una edición limitada de Music By Cavelight como bonus track. Hoy es protagonista de la entrada porque me da la gana y porque simplemente me produce buenas vibraciones. Seguro que desde hoy pasa menos desapercibida.

I almost can't cope with this. After more than a year writing this blog I have hundreds of posts in store that have been piling up with my own favourite songs, some new bands I have discovered and some more music that I have been suggested. One post every seven or ten days does not seem to be enough to empty my bag of recommendations. As I fortunately do have a job, I always lack the time to dedicate to the blog (frustration one), so I decided to open a text document with a list of all the future posts that I intented to publish. Once it was finished, I never fell back on it (frustration two). Then I accepted I should be myself and ended up filling a small irregular piece of paper with names of bands, artists and songs in the most chaotic way one can imagine. I kept crossing out names as they were coming out in the blog and adding new ones in the tiny spaces remaining. It became a metaphore of life in itself. Mine is neither organized nor unlimited in space, but I consider it precious. And so is the tiny piece of paper. Everything is in there. There's this piece of paper, like there's only one life. At best, there's still some blank space at the back (end of frustration).

The last song to get in my no-list is called Daylight. I knew Blockhead while searching for a soundtrack for a documentary we were shooting. Two tracks from this album made it finally into the movie: Breath and Start and Triptych part 2. But one beautiful, relaxing tune was left unnoticed by us. It is a trip-hop beat by Tony Simon (aka Blockhead) originally written for Aesop Rock which eventually appeared in a limited edition of Music By Cavelight as a bonus track. It features here today because I really feel like and it also gives me good vibes. From now on it will get less unnoticed.
