(ENGLISH AHEAD) Otra de las canciones que me han acompañado durante este verano es esta de los catalanes Tokyo Sex Destruction. Uno de esos temas que incita a moverse y que suenan especialmente bien con los auriculares a todo volumen. Ese tufillo a blackxploitation y el regusto a latin soul le dan a la canción el aire vintage adecuado para disfrutarla sin percibir el más mínimo atisbo de nostalgia, pues suena perfectamente actual a pesar de ello. El disco Sagittarius contiene otras maravillas como Every Little Thing, Sweet Riot y el último single, Dead Cops pero en cada uno de los temas podemos decir que la protagonista absoluta es la sección de viento, que le da al álbum la consistencia necesaria para poder afirmar sin miedo a equivocarnos que nos hallamos ante uno de los discos del año en España. Otra cosa es que lleguen al gran público, algo que mucho nos tememos no va a pasar, pero por lo menos, desde aquí les daremos su merecido empujoncito.
Another song that has accompanied me during this summer is this one by the Catalans Tokyo Sex Destruction. This music instantly makes you rock your body and it is especially enjoyable with headphones at full blast. There is a blackxploitation and latin soul aftertaste that gives the song a vintage feel without perceiving the slightest hint of nostalgia, it sounds perfectly present nonetheless. The album Sagittarius contains other wonders such as Every Little Thing, Sweet Riot and the latest single, Dead Cops, but in each of the tracks we can say that the absolute protagonist is the horn section, which gives the album the consistency to state with no fear that we are dealing with one of the albums of the year in Spain. Whether they will make it to the charts is a different kettle of fish, and I am afraid it is not going to happen, but at least, I will give them a well-deserved push.
